Functions:

Creation of formal and informal human organizations;
Humanities and skills development training;
Beneficiary capital creation and management;
Agricultural credit, disbursement and management of microcredit;
Coordination of rural development activities among various stakeholders;
Implementation of development projects related to rural development and poverty alleviation;
Development of rural leadership and empowerment of women;
Transfer and expansion of irrigation and other modern agricultural technologies to increase agricultural productivity and support in the production of minor cereals;
Increase rural production and spread rural products through marketing linkages of beneficiaries;
Creating opportunities for people's participation in local development and connecting rural communities with various nation-building departments and coordinating the services provided.
