Office of Upazila Rural Development Officer at Upazila level


The services and assistance provided through the office of the Upazila Palasni Development Officer (URDO) located at the Upazila level:

Formation of associations / teams (male / female), providing advice on borrowing and providing related information forms;

Assist members in building their own capital through collection of shares and savings deposits;

To the members of the association for easy production of agricultural products and agricultural inputs (fertilizers, seeds, pesticides and irrigation equipment).

Providing loans, (a) arranging agricultural loans through Sonali Bank and (b) recurring agricultural loans;

Forming informal teams under various projects / programs and providing loans for productive and income generating activities;

Loans are disbursed to members immediately after the registration of the formal association and 8 (eight) weeks after the formation of the informal team:

Create opportunities for marketing of crops produced by cooperatives and help in obtaining fair prices;

Raising awareness on women's empowerment and development of women's leadership, prevention of violence against women and


Assistance in raising awareness on dowry customs;

Advice and services for members on adult education, health, nutrition and family planning, etc .;

Advice and assistance in raising awareness about tree planting and sanitation;

To provide self-employment to the indigent freedom fighters and their dependents by providing loans in exchange for nominal services;

Contribute to the socio-economic development of the rural poor and rural leadership


Involvement of poor people in development and economic development of the country;

Upazila if there is any complaint against any officer / employee of the upazila office


If the office is raised with the Rural Development Officer, it will be remedied;

The office is committed to providing service information to any person residing in the upazila.
